Product Information
What is Google gemma?
Gemma is a family of lightweight, state-of-the-art open models designed to assist developers and researchers in building AI responsibly. These models are built using the same research and technology that powers Google's Gemini Chatbot (formerly BARD) and AI-related tools in Workspace (previously Google Duet AI).
Available in two sizes—Gemma 2B and Gemma 7B—each comes with both pretrained and instruction-tuned variants. They are lightweight enough to run directly on a developer's laptop or desktop computer with a CPU or GPU, as well as on the Google Cloud Platform with GPU and TPU acceleration. These models are text-to-text, decoder-only large language models focused on English, featuring open weights, pretrained variants, and instruction-tuned variants.
The models are accessible through platforms such as Kaggle, Hugging Face, NVIDIA’s NeMo, and Google’s Vertex AI.
