The extension uses two different methods to block miners. The first is based on blocking requests/scripts loaded from a blacklist, which is the traditional method adopted by most ad blockers and other mining blockers. Another method that makes MinerBlock more effective in preventing crypto-jacking is detecting potential mining behavior within loaded scripts and immediately killing them. This enables the extension to block inline scripts as well as miners running in proxies.
