What is Mkiosk?
To ensure public access rights in libraries, bookstores, universities, schools, hotels, airports, and terminals or within browser-based systems!
In full-screen mode (Firefox's kiosk mode), it includes:
- Set mKiosk F1, F2 to configure Firefox, F11 to exit full-screen, F12 to quit.
- Optional display of tabs/guides.
- Optional display of the address bar.
- Print button, with optional idle time to warm up the printer. View optional printing.
- Reset button, eliminating the need for terminal use and internal screen protection time.
- Automatic retry if DNS fails.
- Proxy options separated for full-screen (limited user) or public screen (admin), avoiding proxy conflicts.
- Optionally block output via F1, F2, F11, or F12 keys. Firefox only returns in safe mode.
- Compatible with touchscreens, keyboards, and mice.
- Bookmark-shaped buttons.
- Block downloads of unknown files or plugin installations.
- Display PDFs or Flash (if active plugins are available, install them beforehand).
Note: Clear history, saved passwords, form data, and all cached kiosk user privacy information. Be cautious not to mistakenly install this add-on without understanding its implications. Address security concerns, as such data is often targeted.
