What is Mirggi?
MIRGGI is the first IRC client for S60 3rd Edition devices. It also works on 2nd Edition devices. It is currently in an early stage, as I only started writing it on March 10. I've always wanted to do this but never got around to it. I don't like J2ME IRC clients (one major reason is they consume a lot of memory on S60) and don't like using PuTTY, especially on devices without keyboards. And their fonts are ugly too (I like small vector fonts, as is evident from this version :). This is a hobby project, mainly for my needs, but I'll try to find some free time to enhance it. Especially things that bother me personally will be fixed quickly. There are definitely some bugs, but I've successfully used it for several hours over GPRS without any issues. MIRGGI has also been seen by a few as a terminal IRC client for Linux and Windows. These versions haven't been updated in a long time and were never really released. One day I might also develop a version for Windows Mobile. MIRGGI has been tested by me on Nokia N93, E70, E61, N73, N95, and E60. Others have used it on almost all S60 3rd Edition devices (N80, N73, E61i, E90, etc.). The 2nd Edition version has been tested by me on 6260 and N70.
