What is Neochat?
Neochat is a client for Matrix, the decentralized communication protocol for instant messaging. It's a fork of Spectral, using KDE frameworks, most notably Kirigami, KConfig, and KI18n. Features: Send messages. Send files from the clipboard and file system. Reply to messages (right-click a message to access the menu). Start private chats (though unencrypted). Show notifications—currently, there's only a global toggle to disable them. We plan to implement the canonical configuration section soon. Username autocompletion in chats. Emoji picker. Basic room settings page. Send and accept invites. /rainbow (very important). /me.
