What is Classbuilder?
Classbuilder is a free CASE tool for C++ developers, running on Win2K-XP. It enables you to create, manipulate, and navigate classes, class relationships, class members, and class methods at a high level of abstraction through a graphical user interface. Its extensive feature list includes:
Editing of class and sequence diagrams (UML) with automatic layout.
Code generation for implementing associations/aggregations using navigation methods and iterators.
Generation of Find methods for one-to-many associations/aggregations and Get/Set methods for members.
Easy project tracking, displaying the progress of each node (analysis, design, implementation, testing, completion).
Wizards for inserting iteration loops and navigation paths into method code.
Synchronization of code with the compilation environment; changes made outside Classbuilder are detected and read back.
When used with MFC, it can generate code to serialize data structures.
Drag-and-drop support: adding members to classes, adding parameters, changing parameter order, etc.
Documentation generation in RTF and HTML formats, ensuring documentation is always in sync with the code.
Changes made in the generated RTF documentation can be read back into Classbuilder.
