What is Jira clone?
A simplified Jira clone built with React/Babel (client-side) and Node/TypeScript (API). Automatically formatted with Prettier and tested with Cypress.
What is this? Who is it for?
I work in React consulting, and this is a showcase project I built in my spare time. It serves as a great example of a modern, real-world React codebase.
There are many React project showcases/examples out there, but most are too simplistic. I believe this codebase contains enough complexity to offer valuable insights for React developers of all skill levels while remaining relatively easy to understand.
Features
- Proven, scalable, and easy-to-follow project structure
- Written in modern React, using only functional components with hooks
- Various custom lightweight UI components, such as a date picker, modals, form elements, and more
- Simple local React state management—no Redux, MobX, or similar required
- Custom Webpack setup without relying on create-react-app or similar tools
- Client-side written in Babel-supported JavaScript
- API written in TypeScript with TypeORM
