What is Krdc?
KRDC is the KDE Remote Desktop Client. As part of the 2007 Google Summer of Code (SoC), Urs Wolfer and other developers undertook a comprehensive overhaul of KRDC, incorporating it into KDE 4.0. Due to the lack of active maintainers over the years, development of KRDC had slowed down or even halted, necessitating this thorough revision. It supports both Virtual Network Computing (VNC) and Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), enabling the software to access Unix-like and Windows PCs. As part of the SoC project, the developers assisted in compiling Libvncserver on Windows, thereby facilitating its porting.
