What is Macterm?
MacTerm (formerly MacTelnet) on OS X now fully replaces the Terminal, enabling access to both local and remote applications.
Its numerous features include a powerful terminal (with or without tabs), a highly flexible preferences system, TEK vector graphics, dynamic search, notifications and keep-alive, macros, floating command-line windows, special keyboards, a session manager, and even a basic Python scripting interface. It is also free software under the GPL.
