What is MaraDNS? MaraDNS is a free and open-source computer program written by Sam Trenholme. I wrote MaraDNS during the first decade of the 2000s when I was a university student and a traveling English teacher. Now, as a professional software developer, I no longer add features as quickly as I once did. MaraDNS implements the Domain Name System (DNS), a critical internet service. MaraDNS is open-source software: this means anyone can download, use, and modify the program for free under its license.
