What is Net profiles mod?
A fork of the abandoned project Net Profiles. The Net Profiles mod saves your network settings in profiles and allows applying these settings with a click of a button. This project was entirely developed using SharpDevelop. Net Profiles mod is free software and licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) 3.0.
Features
The following settings can be saved in profiles:
- DHCP or static network configurations, including support for WINS servers and DNS suffixes.
- Proxy settings for Internet Explorer and Firefox, with separate proxy configurations and exceptions for each protocol (http, https, ftp, socks, gopher). Firefox automatically restarts and restores the last session to apply new proxy settings.
- Network drives to connect when activating a profile.
- Default printer.
- Programs to run upon activation.
- Desktop wallpaper and resolution.
- Wireless SSID to automatically activate a profile when connecting to a specified wireless network.
Additional features:
- Multilingual support.
- Can minimize to the system tray, with a context menu allowing profile application from the tray.
- Allows creating shortcuts that directly activate specific profiles.
- Includes an option to launch at Windows startup and an option to start minimized.
