Product Information
What is Wireskip?
Wireskip is an open-source VPN protocol designed to provide unrestricted internet access from anywhere.
It's incredibly fast, mimics regular HTTP/2 traffic, and supports multiple protocols, multiplexed connections, onion encryption and routing, as well as enhanced privacy. Wireskip aims to address the issues of modern consumer VPNs and onion routing networks.
**Multi-layered encryption**: Traffic is encapsulated in encrypted layers and routed through a series of relays, with each relay only aware of the information necessary for its function.
**Single or multi-hop**: Choose the number of hops in your circuit—fewer hops reduce latency, while more hops enhance privacy.
**Customizable circuits**: Relays are randomly selected by default based on the configured hop count, but you can opt for specific relays or a sequence of them.
**Tunnel all system traffic**: All traffic (TCP and UDP) on your system can be tunneled through the connection proxy using a TUN device, just like a conventional VPN client.
**Or tunnel only specific apps**: Any application supporting the SOCKSv5 protocol can be configured to route its traffic through the connection proxy. Apps that don’t support SOCKS? Intercept their socket connections.
**Indistinguishable traffic**: Connections are encrypted, multiplexed, and encapsulated within standard TLS HTTP/2 traffic. A regular connection to example.com and traffic relayed through example.com appear nearly identical.
**No user accounts required**: Access to the Wireskip network is granted using access keys, which independently generate encrypted relay tokens to authorize service.
**Powerful API**: The client controller offers a REST API for CLI use but also enables integration with GUIs, web frontends, browser extensions, routers, and custom setups.
**Open-source**: The source code for both the client and relays is available on GitHub under the MIT license. You can build from source, review the code, and contribute.
