What is Simplify gmail?
Who made this?
Simplified was created with the help of Michael Leggett. I was the lead designer for Gmail from 2008 to 2012 and co-founded Google Inbox. Over the years, I've been writing Chrome extensions to streamline the apps I use, but only shared them with friends. With the unfortunate demise of Google Inbox, I wanted to bring a simplified email experience to Gmail.
Is it safe?
I'm glad you asked. You should always be very cautious about the extensions or apps you use with your email. Simplified is mostly some CSS plus a bit of JavaScript to apply the CSS. There are no trackers. No data is sent or shared. Never any ads. Promise. And all the code is available for review on GitHub.

Gmail has many features, and even more third-party plugins. This might not work for you, and that's okay. For everyone else, as Gmail's code changes and with hopes to simplify other apps in the future, I'll do my best to keep the extension updated.
