Product Information
What is Kaidan?
Kaidan is a simple, user-friendly Jabber/XMPP client featuring a modern user interface powered by Kirigami and QtQuick. The backend of Kaidan is written in C++ using the QXmpp XMPP client library and Qt 5. Kaidan operates on both mobile and desktop Linux systems, including Plasma Mobile and Ubuntu Touch. There are static builds for Windows, and while macOS is supported, we currently cannot provide builds for it. Support for legacy mobile systems like Android and iOS is still experimental, with only a testing version available for Android at this time. Should the Sailfish SDK receive Qt updates, we may consider supporting SailfishOS in the future. Kaidan is not yet complete, so don't expect it to function like a finished client—many features are still missing, and numerous aspects require fixes and improvements.
