What is Php-nuke?
PHP-Nuke is a web-based content management system.
Modules can be added to the PHP-Nuke system to enable additional functionalities such as internet forums, calendars, news feeds, FAQs, private messaging, and more. The site is maintained through an administrative interface. PHP-Nuke includes the following standard modules:
- **Advertising** – Manages ads on page layouts (themes). Supports image/links, JavaScript/HTML, and Flash.
- **Content** – Manages the main content "pages."
- **Downloads** – Manages file downloads. Does not include uploads—it stores links to files hosted on other servers.
- **Encyclopedia** – Manages phrases/words and their definitions.
- **Feedback** – Connects to the site administrator. This is an online form but provides feedback via email.
- **Forum** – The site’s discussion forum. It is based on BB2Nuke, a PHP-Nuke port of the popular open-source PHPBB discussion board.
- **Journal** – Public and/or private notes.
- **Member List** – Displays site members.
- **News** – Manages news stories, including future-dated articles set to publish on specific dates and times. Each article can be assigned to a category.
- **Private Messages** – Allows members to send private messages to others on the site. Members can block messages from others.
- **Statistics** – Displays summary and detailed site statistics, including page views.
- **Story (News) Archive** – Provides access to older news articles.
- **Submit News** – Allows visitors to submit news. Email notifications are sent, but submissions are stored in the admin control panel. Admins can delete, edit, and/or publish articles without re-entering them.
- **Surveys (Polls)** – Creates visitor surveys.
- **Top** – Displays the most-viewed articles, downloads, etc.
- **Topics** – Publishes news by topic. Admins define topics and assign them to content.
- **Web Links** – Manages a hierarchical directory of links to selected websites.
- **Your Account** – Manages member "profile" information, including their preferred theme, the number of news articles displayed on their homepage, and more.
