CodeIgniter Wizard is a relational database-driven PHP code generator. It takes a MySQL database as input, allows you to configure options such as UI styling, authentication/authorization, and language localization, and then swiftly creates a fully functional web application with complete CRUD capabilities using the standard CodeIgniter 4.x framework. The output web project includes entity models, views, and controllers (even entities), along with Bootstrap 5-based CSS layouts. The generated code is secure, clean, highly reusable, and portable. With its database-first approach, CodeIgniter Wizard enables you to select the tables and fields to include in your application, automatically generating the necessary models, views, and controllers—even new CodeIgniter 4 entities that support standard database CRUD operations: create, read, update, and delete. It even populates the sidebar and (dashboard) homepage with key data from the generated modules. Unlike dynamic (on-the-fly) code generation libraries such as Grocery CRUD, CodeIgniter Wizard produces standard CI code, allowing you to customize or repurpose the generated code for other web projects. You can also use it to quickly prepare translation strings for other CodeIgniter projects. If you modify a database table after generating a web application with CodeIgniter Wizard—by adding, removing, or renaming columns—and then attempt to re-edit the module in the wizard, it intelligently detects the changes, adapts to the new state, and lets you regenerate the relevant code to update your web application accordingly without breaking existing functionality—a feature most, if not all, other code generators lack. New features also include: - User authentication and authorization with advanced security implemented using best practices. - Secure file uploads with automatic image resizing. - Automatic slug generation from titles (for fields named 'slug'). - Automatic generation of UUID-formatted string IDs when the primary key field is a fixed-length 36-character char or configured as a UUID.
