ConstEdit is an HTML-based document word processor. It’s a Google Chrome/Microsoft Edge browser extension—not a cloud app or online HTML editor. It runs locally in your browser for better performance, convenience, and security while offering more features. Interoperability: ConstEdit writes documents in standard HTML/HTM format. No special software is needed to read ConstEdit documents—just your favorite browser on any common device or OS. Separate content from presentation/formatting: Using external CSS, you can edit content without worrying about styling. For example, new sections automatically appear with correct outline numbering, and demoting a main section updates numbering and reformats it as a subsection.
