What is Droopy?
Imagine you're chatting with a friend on MSN Messenger (perhaps using the excellent pidgin language?). She wants to send you the amazing photos she took last weekend, so she uses Messenger's file transfer. Unfortunately, the zip file is over 50 MB, and the transfer is painfully slow. Now, take it easy—Droopy comes to the rescue.
You can use it on Unix (Linux, BSD, MacOSX) and Windows. Droopy is a Python script, so you'll need Python installed. Droopy is a command-line program.
How to use Droopy?
Droopy is a mini web server whose sole purpose is to allow others to upload files to you, designed to solve the problem of slow traditional file transfers.
