What is Netgear genie?
The Netgear Genie app is a simple way to manage, monitor, and troubleshoot your home network right from the palm of your hand. When on your home network, the Netgear Genie app lets you access all the cool features on your router from anywhere in the house without needing to start up a computer: wireless settings, network maps, real-time parental controls, guest access, traffic metering, My Media, and more. All you need is your tablet or smartphone and the Netgear Genie app.

Genie does not work when connected to a guest network.
If "Wireless Isolation" is enabled, Genie will not log in from wireless devices.
Genie may not function if the router is operating in Access Point mode with a fixed IP.
Genie cannot be used with wireless extenders.
Genie currently does not support IPv6.
