What is Overlay2?
What Does Overlay2 Do?
I run a photo studio in London and was looking for software that could create semi-transparent floating windows on my computer. I wanted to open any image to use as a floating positioning guide over the actual image I was shooting.
I use Adobe Lightroom for image capture and wanted to float art directors' layouts over photos in Lightroom to check if my shots fit. Sometimes I’d overlay another element from a composite to check positioning and perspective, or keep an image visible over Lightroom captures to match it.
I couldn’t find any software that did this, so I wrote it myself: Overlay2 for Mac and Windows is the result. It works with any other Mac or Windows software.
Use it with video capture or editing software or 3D modeling apps to provide references, positioning guides, previews, or tests.
How to use Overlay2?
