Product Information
What is Pcapviz?
Pcapviz utilizes packet information from pcap files captured by network devices using tcpcap or other capture software to map the network as a topology of devices and information flows. It filters and selectively displays captured packets across any of three "layers." These are:
Device-level traffic topology,
IP communication, and
TCP/UDP communication.
Each network packet generates distinct network graphs from the same set of captured packets. This separation makes it easier to view data flows at each level, rather than blending them together as many other visualization tools do. It should simplify identifying critical topology nodes or detecting patterns of data exfiltration attempts.
How to use Pcapviz?
Pcapviz is a tool for network topology and information flow visualization based on pcap files, helping users analyze network packets and display network graphs at different levels to identify data flow patterns and security threats.
