What is Denwer?
Denwer is a collection of web servers commonly used by web programmers. It is used for debugging websites under Win32. Denwer includes: a friendly installer; Apache; PHP; MySQL; Perl; a virtual host management system; phpMyAdmin; a sendmail stub; and a start/stop manager.

A toolkit for debugging sites on a 'home' (local) Windows computer without an internet connection. Includes preconfigured, customizable Apache+PHP+MySQL+phpMyAdmin+Perl (total 5.5 MB) and an automatic subsystem for handling multiple virtual hosts.
What does it do?

Configures everything to work together, so after installation, you just place your PHP code on the mounted Z: drive, and everything works immediately.
You can develop as many sites as you need simultaneously.
If you don’t have web server software installed—launch it (it’s a self-extracting zip archive bundled with a Windows installation script written in Perl), and it will install the full Denwer suite, including Apache/Win, PHP, Perl, MySQL, etc. The whole thing is well-configured and in most cases installs itself without any issues. The only problem you might encounter is that the included documentation is in Russian.
