Pinterest Adds 9M MAUs in Q2 2026

Pinterest Grows User Base and Ad Revenue in Q2 2026
Pinterest added 9 million monthly active users quarter over quarter in Q2 2026. The company also generated higher ad revenue as the platform strengthened its position for product discovery. Full details appear in the official Q2 2026 Pinterest Earnings Presentation.
Monthly Active Users Climb to 640 Million
Pinterest now reports 640 million monthly active users, extending its overall growth path.

Regional User Trends Show Mixed Results
Not every market contributed equally. Pinterest lost two million users in Europe during the second quarter, while growth in the U.S. and Canada market stayed flat. All of the platform’s user gains occurred in the Rest of World segment, which is less valuable for the business at this stage at least.

Pinterest’s average revenue per user remains significantly higher in the U.S. and Canada market and in Europe. As a result, reduced momentum in these regions carries a greater effect on earnings potential. Usage figures in these areas have stayed mostly stagnant across three quarters. In April the company launched a major new marketing push designed to attract more users to the app. That campaign has not produced an uptick in new user sign-ups within these markets.
Ad Revenue Reaches $1.18 Billion
Pinterest generated $1.18 billion in Q2, up about 18% year over year.

Greater relevance from artificial intelligence improvements and refinements of its ad tools supported the stronger business results.
AI Drives Personalization and Ad Performance
Pinterest CEO Bill Ready stated in the Q2 2026 Press Release: “AI is at the heart of our momentum and is a clear accelerant for our business. It is trained on our unique human curation of style and taste, making Pinterest more personalized and actionable for users, while improving performance for advertisers and creating more opportunities to monetize over the long term.”
The company highlighted evolving AI assistant tools that now offer more options to help Pinners locate relevant content.

Pinterest also reported advances in its Performance+ AI-powered ad tools, which allow marketers to access its broad consumer insights. Shopping-related insights drawn from 640 million users support improved relevance and matching for advertisers. like.tg continues monitoring social media platform updates as Pinterest works to expand opportunities in international markets.
