RPCS3 is an experimental open-source Sony PlayStation 3 emulator and debugger written in C++, compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux. Development of RPCS3 began in May 2011 by its founders DH and Hykem. Progress Our goal is to release a technical and visual progress report each month, showcasing the latest advancements made by our developers and talented contributors. Similar to most emulator projects, we strive to be as transparent as possible about our progress. We aim to detail improvements in performance, graphics, and quality-of-life features. We believe this is the best way to keep our fans and followers engaged with the project. Community Join our Discord community of over 37,000 members for project announcements, developer interactions, and emulator configuration support. Through regular engagement with our team, we aim to foster a tight-knit community of emulation enthusiasts and PlayStation 3 fans. Our server features a custom-designed compatibility bot, allowing users to request and retrieve the status of over 2,800 tested PlayStation 3 games. Code The RPCS3 GitHub community is constantly working to develop, implement, and deploy new features and ideas for the project. GitHub enables us to keep the project accessible, free, and most importantly, open-source. It allows us to review contributions, approve them, and integrate them seamlessly. Anyone and everyone can view the project's source code, modify it, compile it locally, and distribute it under GNU GPL 2.0.
