What is Wifi explorer?
WiFi Explorer is a tool designed for scanning, discovering, and troubleshooting wireless networks. It can quickly identify channel conflicts, overlaps, and other factors (such as configuration issues) that may impact the connectivity and/or performance of WiFi networks in homes, offices, and other locations. Additionally, it helps in detecting open, ad-hoc, or even rogue access points. The tool is capable of identifying 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless networks and supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands, along with channel widths of 20, 40, 80, and 160 MHz. It also monitors the signal strength of each network over time and allows exporting metrics (average, maximum signal strength, etc.) and network details in CSV file format.
