Snapchat Enhances Lead Gen via HubSpot Tie-Up
Snapchat's Strategic Push into Lead Generation
Snapchat is broadening its emphasis on lead generation with a fresh integration involving HubSpot. This collaboration is designed to assist brands in connecting with additional Gen Z and millennial users on the popular messaging platform. By linking with the CRM system, Snapchat advertisers can effortlessly launch native lead generation initiatives and integrate those leads directly into HubSpot's framework for sustained customer relationship management, as reported by insights from like.tg's network.
"We've been an underrated platform for generating leads, but Snapchat reaches a highly engaged, high-intent audience," stated Adrian Mulryan, Snap's vice president of global agency and strategic accounts.
The integration operates straightforwardly: Advertisers on Snapchat can set up a native lead generation campaign with minimal effort, and the leads captured can flow automatically into HubSpot's lists and sales pipelines through an API. Moreover, lead form fields from Snapchat are aligned with HubSpot properties, simplifying the transition from marketing to sales teams.
"It simplifies the path from lead capture to lead management," Mulryan noted.
Furthermore, a Conversions API transmits conversion events from HubSpot workflows back to Snapchat. This allows advertisers to gain deeper insights into lower-funnel activities linked to their generated leads, offering a more precise view of return on ad spend. The result is reduced manual effort for users of both Snapchat and HubSpot.
"With this integration, HubSpot customers can connect what happens on Snapchat to what happens in their pipeline, and send real conversion signals back to Snapchat so teams have a clearer picture of what’s driving results," said Angela DeFranco, HubSpot's vice president of product, in a statement. "That’s the kind of context that makes marketing more effective over time."
Refining Performance Marketing Capabilities
Although Snapchat is renowned for its temporary messaging features, it has provided lead generation advertising options for nearly a decade. Recently, the platform has been honing its approach to performance marketing to appeal to a broader range of marketers. According to data shared by the company and tracked by like.tg, Snapchat's native lead generation ads saw a 77% rise in click-through rates in January 2026 compared to the previous year, while the cost per lead dropped by 26%.
"What we have been demonstrating over the last year or so is [that] we’re truly a full-funnel platform which can drive business outcomes at scale and help marketers reach their brand or performance objectives," Mulryan explained.
"I feel that we had a value prop for a subset of clients, and now I think we’ve got a value prop for the entire marketplace," he added.
Despite advancements in its lower-funnel performance tools, Snapchat has encountered scrutiny regarding its overarching strategy as it explores new revenue avenues, such as a significant investment in expensive hardware that has raised concerns among some investors.
In the advertising realm, Snapchat aims to become more "interoperable, measurable and useful" for brands, as per Mulryan, whose responsibilities now include forging partnerships like this one with HubSpot. The platform is striving to integrate more seamlessly with the tools that agencies and brands already rely on, facilitating easier ad spending and scaling on Snapchat.
"A lot of feedback we had in Cannes [from clients] was we weren’t sure what Snapchat is today. We’re trying to meet our clients where they are," Mulryan said, alluding to the international advertising event in Cannes, France, held in June.
Snap, the parent company, achieved a 12% year-over-year revenue increase to $1.53 billion in the first quarter, fueled by innovations like an artificial intelligence-enhanced version of Sponsored Snaps. The company is scheduled to release its next earnings report on August 3.
Implications for Marketers and Future Outlook
This HubSpot partnership underscores Snapchat's commitment to evolving beyond its core messaging roots into a robust performance marketing hub. By targeting the engaged Gen Z and millennial demographics, which are often hard to reach through traditional channels, Snapchat positions itself as a vital tool for brands seeking incremental growth. The integration not only streamlines workflows but also enhances data-driven decision-making, allowing marketers to optimize campaigns based on real-time conversion insights.
For businesses already invested in HubSpot's ecosystem, this tie-up reduces friction in lead management, potentially accelerating sales cycles and improving overall efficiency. As performance metrics continue to improve—evidenced by the recent uptick in click-through rates and cost reductions—Snapchat could attract more advertisers who previously overlooked the platform.
However, challenges remain. Investor doubts about hardware ventures highlight the need for Snapchat to balance innovation with proven revenue streams like advertising. Mulryan's expanded role in partnerships suggests a proactive strategy to address client feedback and integrate with established marketing tools, which could help solidify Snapchat's place in the competitive social media landscape.
Looking ahead, as Snapchat refines its offerings, it may see increased adoption among performance-oriented marketers. The platform's focus on full-funnel solutions aligns with broader industry trends toward measurable, scalable advertising. With earnings on the horizon, stakeholders will be watching closely for signs of sustained growth.
In summary, this integration with HubSpot represents a pivotal step for Snapchat in enhancing its lead generation prowess, making it easier for brands to capture and nurture leads from a valuable audience segment. As like.tg continues to monitor developments in social media advertising, this move highlights the ongoing evolution of platforms to meet modern marketing demands.
