Three ways to eliminate empty Telegram accounts and improve community operation efficiency

When operating a Telegram community or conducting marketing promotions, have you ever encountered this problem: Well-prepared group messages always come to nothing, and the open rate is pitifully low? When our team served e-commerce customers, we found that more than 30% of invalid contacts actually came from a large number of empty numbers mixed in the contact list. According to the DataReportal 2025 report, 11.7% of monthly active accounts in global instant messaging applications are long-term inactive or have been logged out. This is a typical operational search requirement.

Three core methods for Telegram empty account detection

The biggest headache is when manually clearing contacts, which is time-consuming and easy to delete valid users by mistake. Hootsuite's 2024 survey data shows that 62% of community operators have lost important customers due to improper cleanup. Step 1: CallgetChatMembersCountInterface to obtain the total number of group members
Step 2: PassdeleteChatUserMethod to batch remove accounts that have been inactive for 30 days
