TikTok Community Fest 2026 Focuses on Live Stream Creators

TikTok has unveiled plans for its 2026 Community Fest, a summer-long event designed to elevate live stream creators through educational workshops, in-app competitions, and community-building initiatives. The festival, which kicks off on June 11, aims to encourage more creators to leverage TikTok’s live broadcasting tools.

Creator Academy & Live Workshops

For the first time, TikTok will host a Community Fest Creator Academy, a global workshop series streamed on the official TikTok Live profiles (@tiktok_livefest and @tiktoklive_us). The sessions will feature established creators sharing strategies to maximize live engagement. The curriculum includes:

• The Art of Connection: Techniques to engage audiences within the first five minutes.
• Building Your Community: How to use TikTok LIVE tools to grow a dedicated following.

Match Mania & In-App Rewards

TikTok is also introducing Match Mania, a global tournament where creators compete in live challenges while viewers support them to unlock rewards. The competition aims to foster friendly rivalry and deeper fan engagement.

TikTok’s Livestreaming Push

This marks the third year of Community Fest, reflecting TikTok’s broader strategy to make livestreaming a core feature. The platform is taking cues from Douyin, its Chinese counterpart, where livestreaming drives massive engagement. According to the China Internet Network Information Center, 833 million Chinese users (75.2% of internet users) watched livestreams as of December 2024.
