Threads Tests Custom Like Buttons in Three Markets
Threads is testing custom like buttons that let users choose an emoji, sticker or GIF to appear when someone likes their posts. Threads chief Connor Hayes said the option is being tested with select users in South Korea, Brazil and Indonesia.

The custom graphic is tied to a user’s profile, not an individual post. That means users cannot set a different like graphic for each update.
The original report suggested users could change their animation for a season or major event, while brands could choose one that matches a product or project. The report also suggested that personalized displays could encourage people to like more posts to see what other users have chosen, potentially generating more interactions as users discover each account’s custom like graphic.
